The American Legion Post #180 Bingo is a non-profit veteran’s organization supporting veterans, schools, and the community. Veterans Day 2020:

Please join us in honoring our hometown heroes tomorrow at 11 a.m. in Folger Park at the corner of 3rd and D Streets SE. American Legion Post 8 Commander Jason Secrest invites everyone to its annual Veterans Day ceremony to remember all those who have served and sacrificed for our country.

The hour-long program includes gathering music by the DCFD Emerald Society Pipes & Drums, presentation of colors by U.S. Air Force Color Guard, and national anthem and armed forces medley by the U.S. Army Brass Quintet.

D.C. Ward 6 Councilmember Charles Allen will offer remarks and award-winning NBC News4 I-Team investigative reporter Scott MacFarlane is the quest speaker.

Due to citywide requirements and restrictions, standing room only will be available on the perimeter of the event. All are respectfully asked to follow current masking and social distancing directions.

Since our charter in 1922, Kenneth Nash Post 8 has been welcoming veterans from all branches of our Armed Forces. Today, we welcome all military members who serve and have served our country; along with their families, who also sacrifice.
